V-Farm partners with NutriWales & Cluster members to launch Controlled Environment Agriculture (CEA) in Wales at Welsh Governments 2019 BlasCymru / TasteWales conference.

Following the huge success of the inaugural event in in 2017, BlasCymru / TasteWales returns March 20 and 21 2019, bringing together producers, buyers and food industry professionals for this signature international food and drink trade event and conference, held once again at the world-class Celtic Manor Resort.

Taste Wales

Taste Wales is an inspiring Conference line-up of leading sector thinkers exploring the theme of Accelerating Sustainable Growth - faster, smarter, greener with presentations and interactive content. It is a showcase of the best products Wales has to offer in the food and drink sector. V-Farm is proud to be part of this and at the centre of the CEA strategy for Wales post Brexit along side partners Digital Farm and Nutralight.

Taste Wales

BIC Innovation Ltd on behalf of the cluster group have taken delivery of VF5222 and VF5207 V-Farm units to “grow and show” microgreen and specialist herb cultivation on the NutriWales stand. This demonstrates how vertical farming is going to be part of the Welsh food security strategy going forward allowing clustering of food businesses around central production facilities and fostering this new CEA industry. Developing future rural and land management policies and creative utilisation of any disused buildings, including those in the government estate.
